Your customers can donate a tree and/or wreath and deliver the “Spirit of Christmas” to an active-duty military member and their family while supporting your organization! Each donation raises money for your group while also giving back to our military families. A wonderful way to say, “Thank you for your service!”
Donated products are delivered by FedEx typically the first weekend of December through the national “Trees for Troops” program to US bases across the nation.
This is a perfect solution for friends or family that are not able to purchase a live product but still want to support your program.
“Quality is Never Compromised” at Wood Mountain. Our trees and wreaths are “nursery” quality graded and are directly delivered fresh to you from the Pacific Northwest. All products are guaranteed to be fresh and of the highest quality.
Yes, there is a 125-tree minimum order required for direct delivery to your site. Up to twenty-five (25) “Trees for Troops” donations count towards the minimum (100+25). Wreaths, greenery, and “Wreaths for Troops” products do NOT count toward the 125-tree minimum.
Groups that do not meet the 125-tree requirement participate in our Co-Op program.
We do not offer direct delivery to your customers currently. However, many of our organizations provide delivery to local customers for a nominal fee.
Wreaths & Greens Only groups will pick up their products at a Co-Op location determined after final orders are submitted. A $15 handling fee is applied to your balance for this service. Wood Mountain will contact you with your pickup location and instructions. Your group will pick up your products (you will need to bring volunteers to help you load) and then return to your location for distribution to your customers.
Your products are combined with other groups that also did not meet the direct delivery minimum and products are delivered to a shared site. Your pickup location is determined after final orders are submitted. Wood Mountain will notify you with your pickup location and instructions by email. On delivery day your group will arrive at your pickup location, load your products, and return to your site to distribute products to your customers.

Products are delivered in a 53’ foot semi-truck. If the 125-tree minimum for direct delivery is met, the products are delivered directly to your site. If the minimum is not met, products are delivered to the Co-Op location. Trees will be netted with tags indicating type and size, wreaths and greenery are in 6-pack bundles and garland in 50’ rolls.
On the day of distribution (typically the day after delivery), your customers will arrive at your distribution site with their receipt indicating the products they purchased. Most groups make an event of Distribution day (i.e., crafts, hot chocolate, spirit wear sales, etc.). All products are picked up on a first come, first served basis just like a retail lot.
Yes, you will need to provide the volunteers to offload products and count them as they are removed from the truck. The driver is not responsible for offloading. You will be provided with a Fundraising Handbook that has detailed instructions on the Delivery & Distribution days and how many volunteers will be needed for each task.
Environmentally it is much better to use a natural agricultural product and then recycle it after the holidays. Real Christmas trees are a renewable, recyclable, and natural product grown specifically by American farmers just like corn or wheat. Once harvested, new seedlings are planted to replace the harvested trees.
Artificial Christmas trees are a non-renewable, non-biodegradable, plastic, and metal product most often fabricated in overseas factories.
By purchasing a real tree, you support American small business/farmers and do your part in taking care of the environment.
The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) requires sales tax to be applied to all taxable sales. For organizations outside California please consult your tax advisor.
-
Fundraising Groups
Sales tax will be calculated on the retail price at the local rate of your organization per CDTFA requirements. Wood Mountain is then responsible for the submittal of sales tax to the CDTFA.
All Fundraising customers will pay our standard retail pricing for the current season. Sales tax will then be applied based on the local area rate.
-
Wholesale Groups
The CDTFA requires you to obtain a seller’s permit and collect and submit sales tax based on your retail price at your local tax rate. Your organization is required to provide Wood Mountain with a resale certificate to participate in this program. The resale certificate states that you will buy from us sales-tax-free with the intention of collecting sales tax from your customers at the resale amount. Your organization is then required to submit all sales tax collected to the CDTFA.
We strongly advise that you contact the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration directly at 800.400.7115 should you have any questions regarding sales tax.
